LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Two Shelbyville men were arrested Thursday night after police say they were using Facebook to share child pornography.

According to arrest reports, the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crimes Branch was conducting an undercover investigation when Facebook accounts belonging to 28-year-old Sedwin Osmel-Vasquez Carrillo and 26-year-old Elder Rene Carrillo-Cruz were linked to child pornography.

Police say both men were using Facebook Messenger to share the files. Two files were linked to Carrillo-Cruz and three were linked to Carrillo, according to arrest reports. 

When confronted, both men allegedly admitted to downloading and sending child pornography.

Both men were arrested and charged with possession or viewing of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor and distribution of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor. They are currently being held in the Shelby County Detention Center.
