Chad comes to Louisville by way of Georgia and South Carolina, where he most recently spent almost five years as a reporter at WIS-TV in Columbia, South Carolina.

During his time in Columbia, Chad covered a variety of stories, big and small: the removal of the Confederate Flag from the State House, an historic flood, the trial of church shooter Dylann Roof and multiple hurricanes. While there, his reporting shed light on fire-prone school buses that the state has since replaced. That reporting was recognized with a regional Edward R. Murrow Award. In 2018, Chad was named South Carolina's TV Reporter of the Year.

Chad hails from Florida's Emerald Coast and is a graduate of the Nicholson School of Communication at the University of Central Florida in Orlando.

In his spare time, Chad enjoys traveling and hiking with his best friend and wife, Ashleigh.

Chad is excited to bring his passion for reporting to the people of Kentuckiana. To reach him, call his cell at (502) 263-3185 or email him at cmills@wdrb.com.
