Indiana gets $9 million grant for student mental health needs
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Indiana has received a $9 million grant to help students struggling with mental health issues.
The five-year grant was awarded through a federal program that aims to boost awareness of students' mental and emotional health issues, in part by expanding school-based mental health teams.
Three Indiana school districts will work with the state to achieve that mission.
They include the Vigo County School Corporation, the Perry Central Community School Corporation in Indianapolis, and the Avon Community School Corporation just west of Indianapolis.
