Authorities identify man shot to death in southwest Louisville
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Jefferson County Coroner's Office has identified a man who was shot to death in southwest Louisville overnight.
That man has been identified as 18-year-old Robert S. Biggers Jr. His official cause of death is listed as "gunshot wound," but police are calling it a "shooting investigation," not a homicide.
Officers were sent to an apartment building around midnight Thursday on Broadleaf Drive near Richmond Road on reports of a shooting. That's right off of Cane Run Road near Crums Lane.
Police say that's where Biggers was shot and killed. Neighbors say they heard at least three gunshots.
Officers were questioning an individual at the scene, according to spokesperson Dwight Mitchell, but no charges have been filed. Mitchell said the investigation will be turned over to the Commonwealth Attorney's Office for review.
LMPD says they are not looking for any suspects in the case.
At this time police have not released any information about a possible motive for the shooting.
