RECALL: Children's pain relievers may cause kidney damage
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A pain medication for infants is being recalled.
Store brand infant ibuprofen from Walmart, CVS Pharmacy and Family Dollar is being voluntarily recalled by the maker, Tris Pharma. Three lots are affected. The lots involve medications sold under the "CVS Health," "Equate," and "Family Wellness" brands.
Tris Pharma says the concentrations may be too high and infants may be more vulnerable to permanent kidney damage.
