Kentucky Truck Plant to run only one shift in June, close for July

At least one Louisville Ford plant will stop production and eliminate shifts this summer because of struggling sales.

A few thousand union workers learned just this afternoon they will take about a 20% pay cut to stay home.  The union president says the Kentucky Truck Plant will run only one shift in June, instead of two.  And the plant will be closed the entire month of July.

Two of those weeks were originally scheduled for vacation.

Union president Rocky Comito says the Louisville Assembly Plant also will shut down production for a few weeks in June.
