Flags4Vets Honors Fallen Heroes

Louisville's Jefferson Square will be filled with thousands of flags Memorial Day weekend.

The Flag4Vets Organization, along with spokesperson Heather French Henry, will be starting Thursday morning May 22nd to place 20,000 U.S. Flags in honor of America's fallen Military, Veterans, Law Enforcement Officers, Firefighters, and EMS for Memorial Day Weekend.

One by One the 20,000 flags will be placed by Kentuckiana residence on the lawn at Jefferson Square in downtown Louisville.  During the 50-hour flag-in, the names of each of the fallen First Responders will be read out loud as the Flag4Vets Freedom Bell is rung in their memory.

The flag-in will culminate on Saturday, May 24th at 10am with closing ceremony following. Flags4Vets encourages all ages to attend to pay their respects to our fallen heroes. The general public is also invited to volunteer to be a part of this 3-day long event.
