We haven't done Darts and Laurels in quite a while and there are plenty to go around.
A laurel to Steve Langford and WAVE TV for taking the plunge into the world of television editorials. Obviously I believe in the value of using editorials to reflect and help shape the values of a community and I believe the newspaper should not be the only voice for that. Now we welcome another voice and I think the community will be better for it.
Another laurel goes to Laura Lee Brown, her husband, Steve Wilson, and Louisville developer Steve Poe for unveiling their plans to build a 61-story building over looking the river. Museum Plaza will be a striking addition to the Louisville skyline and will be another huge step in drawing more people back downtown to live.
Finally, I was going to throw a dart at Pamela Anderson for announcing that she is boycotting the Kentucky Derby because horseracing is cruel, and for then declaring a boycott of the entire state of Kentucky because she claims KFC is cruel to chickens. Then I realized it's not her fault. Given her demonstrated appeal to the less intellectually-inclined, she is the perfect pawn of PETA. They are the lunatics who really should get the dart.
I'm Bill Lamb, and that's my Point of View.
