There's a new effort under way to expand Louisville's ElderServe program across the country.  Congressman John Yarmuth made the announcement Wednesday morning.

For the past 30 years, ElderServe has attended to thousands of elder abuse victims in Louisville.  The program coordinates short-term housing, crisis counseling, legal advice, financial help, and healthcare, among other services.

Yarmuth talked about the bill on Fox In The Morning Wednesday. "It's basically to help seniors avoid being exploited and abused.  And there are too many instances of that in our community and throughout the country ."

Fox 41's Stephan Johnson is at the event and we'll have much more on Fox News at 4.
