Dr. Rebecca Booth Outlines "The Venus Week"

A new book attempts to help women take advantage of their horomone swings.

Louisville gynecologist Dr. Rebecca Booth has written "The Venus Week."

Dr. Booth will visit Carmichael's Bookstore on Frankfort Avenue for a book signing on Saturday, June 7th at 4 p.m.

Dr. Booth's extensive experience treating women of all ages led her to discover the phenomenon she calls the Venus Week.  It's that one week each month when women feel great about themselves, look their best, and feel more focused and receptive to others. In her book, Dr. Booth explains not only why this is, but how each woman can find her own Venus Week and maximize its positive effects.

Developed for women of all life stages, The Venus Week is packed with information on "Venus-maximizing" vitamins and dietary supplements, including cinnamon and dark chocolate, as well as exercise tips and relaxation techniques that will help women harness their hormonal power to look and feel their very best.

Dr. Booth has been practicing in Louisville for more than 20 years, currently with the group Women First.  She completed undergraduate studies at the University of Kentucky and received her medical degree from the University of Louisville.

She was named one of Louisville's "Top Docs" by Louisville Magazine.  She is married to a Louisville physician and they have two children. Booth is the daughter of the well-known Louisville broadcaster Wayne Perkey.
