Federal inmate accused of stabbing death at Dismas House

A federal inmate is back behind bars, accused of stabbing a woman to death with an ice pick at a Louisville halfway house.

Deann Elliott was stabbed at the Dismas House Monday night on Oak Street near First Street.  She later died at University Hospital.

54-year-old Randy Bowman is now charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence.  He's a federal parolee who was released in june of 2005.

Metro Police say the two got into a fight when Elliott was stabbed.

Both Bowman and the victim lived at Dismas House, which is a minimum-security halfway house.
