Federal inmate accused of fatal stabbing pleads not guilty
A federal inmate accused of stabbing a woman to death with an ice pick at a Louisville halfway house says he's not guilty.
54-year-old Randy Bowman was charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence charges Wednesday morning.
He spent more than two decades in prison for verbally threatening former President Jimmy Carter. He was released in June of 2005.
He's accused of stabbing Deann Elliot at the Dismas House on Monday night. Bowman remains behind bars on a $500,000 bond.
