Blood drive honors fallen officer
It is a fitting way to remember a fallen Floyd County Sheriff's deputy. A year ago, Deputy Frank Denzinger was shot and killed while responding to a domestic dispute.
Greenville, Indiana is officer Frank Denzinger's hometown. And it seems like everyone was there for a special, emotional occasion -- a blood drive sponsored by the American Red Cross and the Indiana Fallen Officers Association.
During the month of June, the Red Cross and the Fallen Officer's Association will host blood drives throughout the state. It's a good way to increase the state's blood supplies.
You can still participate in Greenville -- the blood drive continues through seven o'clock Wednesday evening at the Greenville Elementary School on Cross Street.
