Clark County Police seek missing sex offenders

Several dozen sex offenders from Clark County, Indiana are on the loose.  Clark County Police are looking for at least 42 sex offenders who are not registered.

This week a sheriff's department task force has been out looking for all of the offenders.  For those who are still missing, warrants will be issued for their arrest.

Police say it is important that they know where these sex offenders are.

Officer Tim Franklin with the Clark County Sheriff's Department tells Fox 41's Stephan Johnson, "There's always that chance that somebody else could become the victim to their crime.  So it's important that we know where everybody is all the time, just to keep the public safe."

Clark County Police say the investigation will continue until officers know where all these people are.  If you have any information on where these sex offenders might be, you can call Clark County Police at the anonymous tip line at 812-280-CCSO.
