Stricter guidelines for Kentucky daycare providers - WDRB 41 Louisville News

Stricter guidelines for Kentucky daycare providers

Starting July 1st, Kentucky daycare providers will have stricter guidelines when it comes to caring for children.

The new regulations include making it more difficult for daycares to be re-licensed if they've previously had their license revoked.

The new regulations also require a quicker turnaround time for background checks for employees.  And starting next month, continuing education training for workers increases to 15 hours, from 12 hours.

And, daycares must also have emergency preparedness plans.
