Biplane crashes in Jackson County, IN

A single engine biplane has crashed into a Jackson County, Indiana field.  Indiana State Police say the pilot was trying to log 40 hours of safe flight time in his plane to prove it was air-worthy.

It was a two-passenger, experimental homebuilt aircraft.

Shortly after taking off, the pilot reported the engine was not getting the power it should.

He made an emergency landing in a farm field south of Seymour.  The pilot was not seriously injured.
