Fate of Ouerbacker House decided

The fate of a west Louisville mansion that would've been demolished has been decided.

The Metro Landbank Authority met Friday to discuss restoration proposals for the Ouerbacker House.

Four developers talked about their plans to save the mansion and tried to prove that they have the money to restore the building.  Authority members decided to hand the property over to Studio Kremer Architects, known as Studio K.

They say they want to develop it into some kind of non-profit organization.

The Landbank Authority also recommended that Studio K work with FMG Real Estate Investments, who proposed to transform the mansion into a non-profit music school.

Kremer says the budget for the mansion is set at $2 million.
