New Albany-Floyd County parents can request free drug testing kits

It's one test local high school students did not expect to have to take this fall-- and it's being given by their parents.

Parents of some New Albany-Floyd County students will be able to request free drug testing kits when school starts this fall.

The tests rely on urine samples to provide readings for twelve drugs, including marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine, opiates, and oxycodone.

The tests will be available for parents of students who are in the 6th to 9th grades.
