Army says it saw no reason to be concerned about missing soldier

Army officials say they had no reason to be concerned about a missing pregnant soldier from Kentucky, even though she had not been seen for nearly two weeks.

The body of Megan Touma was found in the bathtub of a North Carolina motel room on June 21st.  Nobody within her military company had seen her since June 12th.

An Army spokesperson says there is no standard procedure for units to keep up with absent soldiers.

Investigators are treating her death as a homicide, but have not yet made any arrests.
