Hikes Point Post Office renamed for fallen war heroes

The Hikes Point Post Office has been renamed in honor of our fallen war heroes.

Congressman John Yarmuth, who introduced the bill to rename the facility, was there for Thursday morning's dedication.

The post office is being named in honor of 10 fallen soldiers.  The father of one of those soldiers talks about what the renaming means, especially so close to the 4th of July holiday.

Sgt. Michael Acklin says, "It just sort of gives us deeper meaning, it really does, a patriotic meaning."

The branch will now be called the Fallen Heroes Post Office.
