Ice cream truck driver dies in wreck near Bells Lane and Dumesnil

The driver of an ice cream truck is dead after a crash Monday morning in southwest Louisville.

40-year-old Stephen Jackson of Louisville died in that wreck.

It happened at around midnight in the westbound lanes of I-264 near Bells Lane and Dumesnil.  Police say the driver lost control of his vehicle and hit a guard rail.

Investigators say the driver was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown out of the door.  The truck continued to roll and hit an abandoned truck in the emergency lane.
