During the second weekend in July each year, Louisville offers glimpses into one of its best-kept secrets.

The Old Louisville Hidden Treasures Garden Tour welcomes garden lovers into the private green spaces of the nation's largest Victorian residential neighborhood.

Old Louisville gardeners share the experience of their personal retreats with hundreds of visitors.

This tour is designed to be walked so that the visitor can experience the scale of Old Louisville residences and the peacefulness of its gardens.

Because the neighborhood is large, each year the tour rotates to a different section that yields up its unexpectedly bucolic secrets to those who take a peek.

2008 Garden Tour tickets are $12 on the days of the tour or $10 in advance if purchased before Friday, July 11 at 5 pm.

From June 1 through July 11, tickets are also available at the Old Louisville Information Center in Central Park.

Tickets purchased in advance or on site should be picked up at the sales table during tour hours. Tickets are good for both July 12th and 13th.
