Federal judge dismisses lawsuits against Delta in Comair crash

A federal judge has dismissed 19 pending lawsuits against Delta Air Lines after the Comair Flight 5191 plane crash in Lexington.

The judge says no Delta employee can be held liable for the August 2006 crash.  Comair is a subsidiary of Delta.

Delta argued that each airline has separate management and different policies and procedures.  A lawyer for the plaintiffs says the dismissal will not affect next month's trial for damages.

The plane crashed after taking off from the wrong runway at the Blue Grass Airport.  49 of 50 people on board were killed.
