100 year old structure gets new life

It's been around for more than 100 years, but the old structure is getting new life.  The ribbon was cut Monday morning on the new Edison Park condominiums in Butchertown.

Developers say a gym built in the 1930s still has the original hardwood floors and open space that can be adapted to any use.

Dave Buchart, Edison Park Developer says, "With the flexibility that we offer in one, two, or three bedroom units, and the ability to have theater rooms, family rooms, additional storage, and varying layouts of each of our units, we will be working closely with all of our buyers to give them exactly what they desire and need in each of our units."

Mayor Jerry Abramson says the new development helps make Butchertown an area where old and young people can live and give the neighborhood a new excitement.
