Closing arguments begin in Denny Wages trial

Closing arguments were underway Thursday morning in the trial of a man accused in the crash that killed a family of three in Southern Indiana.

Wages is charged with reckless homicide in the crash that killed Bobby Littrell, his wife Kimberly, and their two-year-old daughter Shelby.

Wages was driving a pickup truck four years ago on Highway 150 in Floyd County when he crossed the center line and crashed head-on into the Littrell vehicle.

Prosecutor Steve Owens said in closing arguments that it's important to follow the law, and that Wages's actions were criminal when he passed a line of cars at excessive speed in a no-passing zone.

The jury is expected the get the case Thursday afternoon.
