Humana building implosion set for Saturday morning

People love a good implosion, especially the sights and sound of a big building collapsing in a cloud of dust.

But when they drop the Humana Building Saturday morning, those in charge say the best place to see the operation will be on television.

The building is surrounded by downtown structures and a "keep out" zone will be established around the area, making the implosion itself hard to see.

The city parking garage at First and Main will be a public viewing area.

The plan is to close down a three-block area around the site Saturday morning around six a.m., with the actual implosion taking place at seven.
