Abramson courts Tampa residents to come to Louisville; one skeptic says, "no way"

Mayor Jerry Abramson is throwing a party in Tampa, Florida on Thursday, hoping to convince people with a connection to Louisville to return.

Greater Louisville, Inc. organized the bash, called "The Louisville Reunion."  In a press release about the event, Abramson says, "We have a message for young professionals in the Tampa and St. Pete area -- move to Louisville, where the possibilities are endless."

The party includes door prizes such as tickets to the Ryder Cup and next year's Kentucky Derby.  And representatives of Greater Louisville, Inc. will be there to discuss job opportunities.

Previous "Louisville Reunions" have been held in Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, and San Francisco.

One skeptic in Tampa has already made his position on the reunion known.  James Zambroski is a former Louisville TV reporter who now works for a Tampa station, and he filed a report for his station saying, "My mother didn't raise no fool, there's no way I'm leaving Tampa."
