Gov. Beshear signs order allowing low-speed electric cars on Kentucky roads

It's a move that will help lure another carmaker to the Louisville area.

Governor Steve Beshear on Tuesday signed an executive order allowing low-speed electric cars to travel on the state's roads.

They will only be allowed on roads that have speed limits lower than 45 miles an hour.

This is big news for Integrity Manufacturing.  It was waiting for the state's approval before moving forward with building a Shepherdsville plant that would produce Zap electric cars.
