Indiana residents must meet face-to-face with wine merchants before placing Internet, phone orders

The rules are changing again for Indiana residents who want to buy wine.

An appeals judge has ruled that Indiana residents must first make face-to-face contact with a wine merchant before they can place orders over the phone or the Internet.

The ruling is a loss for Hoosier connoisseurs and the wineries that want to ship products to them.

But the Indiana Alcohol and Tobacco commission says it's a win for families concerned about underage kids getting alcohol.
