JRC continues message with back-to-school drive

Weeks after the death of Reverend Louis Coleman, the organization he lead continues to carry on his message of serving the public.

Tonight the Justice Resource Center held a back-to-school drive. Kids got pens, paper and plenty of folders. The items were donated from local businesses.

This is JRC's first event without Coleman, but members say his legacy lives on.

"This is one of the things Rev. Coleman used to do all the time and we're doing this today in remembrance of him," said Milton Seymore, Justice Resource Center member.

"This is a great help to the community and it's an incentive for the young people in the community who have helped get all of this together to understand what it means to give and to give back," said Mattie Jones, Interim Director of JRC.

The JRC plans to give out any remaining school supplies tomorrow at six o'clock at 12th and Hill in the Park Hill neighborhood.
