Waterfront Park development continues

Development on the city's Waterfront Park continues.  Phase three construction got started in 2005.  That includes the conversion of the Big Four railroad bridge into a pedestrian walkway and the building of the Abraham Lincoln Memorial.

Director David Karem says he's hoping the funding will be there.

"The ramp to the big four bridge, the steel has been ordered for that.  It will be delivered in November and that ramp will get under construction.  We still need to secure the funds to deck the bridge, but we've been working on that," he said.

The Abraham Lincoln project and sculpture are being designed by local artist Ed Hamilton.
