Second meth lab bust in 24 hours for Bullitt County

A tip leads Bullitt County Police to a second meth lab bust in 24 hours.  Police arrested Howard Delmar Moon the Third Wednesday afternoon.

A tip led police to Moon's home on Sampsons Road just outside Shepherdsville.  When police searched his home, they found eight generators they believe had been cooking meth for the last 12 to 14 hours.

Police say public awareness is helping them bust meth labs.  Bullitt County Sheriff Danny Thompson explains, "I think people are getting more aware of what the smell is and what it takes to make meth, and I think that's why we're getting more calls on it.  They realize it's a dangerous situation and we're trying to stay on top of these things."

Police say if you see any suspicious activity or smell any strong chemical odors that you suspect could be a meth lab, call police.
