No evidence of foul play in Mel Ignatow's death

There is no evidence of foul play in the death of Mel Ignatow -- that's according to the deputy coroner.

An autopsy was performed Tuesday morning, and the cause of death is still pending.

Ignatow's son, Mike, found his father's body inside his Louisville apartment Monday afternoon.

Mike says his father fell sometime over the weekend, cut his arm on a glass coffee table, and bled to death.

Many remember Ignatow as the man who was acquitted of the rape and murder of his girlfriend Brenda Sue Schaefer.

Months after his 1991 trial ended, pictures surfaced of Ignatow committing the crime.  He would later serve five years in prison for lying to a federal grand jury about the murder.

Mel Ignatow was 70 years old.
