900 stitchers from across the nation have come to Louisville this week to celebrate the Embroiderers' Guild of America's 50th anniversary.

The headquarters for the national organization has been in Louisville since 1985.  In every year ending in an eight, the national seminar is held here.  Each needle artist who attends learns something new about their art.

Hundreds of EGA members plan to set up at Jefferson Square Park Wednesday afternoon.

They will be there from Noon to 1:30 to show their skills out in the open for National Stitch in Public Day.
