Louisville Zoo hosts Gustav evacuees

The city of Louisville is giving hurricane evacuees a chance to get out of the convention center and explore the city.

Wednesday the Louisville Zoo hosted Gustav evacuees as their special guests.  They were given free admission and discounted prices on food.

Evacuees were grateful for the chance to get out and explore the city, but they still can't take their minds completely off the storm.

One evacuee says this time emergency officials were more organized compared to when Katrina hit.  Marty Regan says, "It was just everybody sink or swim for themselves, you know, you had spotty services here and there and you'd go all the way to a shelter and it would be full.  You didn't have a central command post, no one telling you where to go, it was a mess, it was a mess."

Evacuees also got a chance to tour the Louisville Slugger Museum and the Muhammad Ali Center.
