KFC's secret recipe moved to undisclosed location

The secret to Kentucky Fried Chicken has flown the coop!  For the first time in decades, Colonel Sanders' handwritten recipe has been moved to a new secret location.

KFC is trying to modernize the vault where the recipe has been housed for years.  So the company has hired a national security expert to keep the recipe a secret.

Colonel Harland Sanders' handwritten recipe has been held in a file cabinet inside the vault for the last 20 years.

Tuesday morning, the 68-year-old secret was taken to a undisclosed location in a high-security motorcade with Louisville Metro Police.

KFC hired an ex-New York City police detective to protect the recipe.  It was tucked away in a briefcase and handcuffed to him when it was whisked away by armored car.

KFC President Roger Eaton explained that in launching Original Recipe Strips recently the company realized that security around the recipe could be improved.

Colonel Sanders founded KFC in Corbin, Kentucky, and in 1939 the Colonel perfected his secret blend of 11 herbs and spices.  Sanders died in 1980.

Only two people from KFC know the recipe and we are not being told who they are.  So the secret is safe.
