Power outages delay ISTEP testing

Power outages and other storm issues will give some students in Indiana a few more days to prepare for statewide exams.

ISTEP testing was supposed to start Tuesday.  But instead, testing will take place over the next two weeks.

The Indiana Department of Education reports local schools can give the exam over a few days during these two weeks which ends on September 26th.

I-STEP or Indiana Statewide Testing for Educational Progress-Plus is used to determine schools' progress under federal and state laws.
