Judge rules that trial date will not be moved for lawsuit against Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom
A judge has ruled the trial date will not be moved up for the lawsuit against Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom after a teenager's feet were severed on a ride.
Judge Barry Willett of Jefferson Circuit Court has ruled the trial date of January 12th, 2010 is appropriate.
The Lasitter family wanted to move the date up. The family alleges that Six Flags was negligent in inspecting, maintaining, and testing the Superman Tower of Power ride.
Kaitlyn Lasitter's feet were severed when a cable on the ride snapped.
Six Flags is now suing the manufacturer of the ride saying that company should be held responsible for the girl's injuries.
