Russians come to Louisville for civics lesson in local government

A group of Russians is in Louisville getting a civics lesson on local government.  The League of Women Voters hosted ten Russians who are government workers in their country.

They're here to learn how our government works, the role of media, and citizen involvement.  Teena Halbig of the League of Women Voters says they also want to learn how citizens interact with their government.

The Russians don't speak English, so they were learning about our government through an interpreter.
