Thousands hit the streets in Downtown Louisville to fight Aids this weekend.

Sunday, September 28th is the 16th annual Louisville AIDS Walk, 5k Run and Pet Walk.

The Walk begins and ends at the Belvedere, will cross the Ohio River on the Clark Memorial Bridge to Jeffersonville, and return to Louisville.

There is a $20 5K Run Registration fee.

There is no cost to participate in the Walk or Pet Walk; however, individuals and Teams will collect donations from family, friends and co-workers.

Registration, food, beverages, kid's activities and a variety of live entertainment begins at 1 p.m.

The Walk is Kentucky largest annual HIV/AIDS fundraising and awareness event.

Since its founding in 1993, the Walk has funded direct client services such as food, housing, children's programs, medical care, medication cop-pay assistance, transportation, group and individual counseling, life skills/educational workshops, a monthly fellowship dinner and legal services for thousands of people struggling with HIV/AIDS in Louisville and Southern Indiana.
