Only On Fox: Girl attacked by dog

The eight-year-old Louisville girl attacked by her neighbor's pit bull is speaking out.  Brianna Zink said she thought she was going to die.

Saturday afternoon, a neighbor's pit bull attacked her.  Many people say the dog has been a lot a trouble for too long.

After the attack, Brianna spent several hours at the Kosair Children's Hospital.  She received severe wounds on her arm and leg.

"I kept on kicking him, and the woman who owns the dog, her son came over and grabbed him, and then my cousin LaShay came over.  Her mother pulled me in the house, then LaShay called 911," said Brianna.

While the firemen and paramedics were taking care of Brianna and getting her to the hospital, Metro Animal Services took the dog away from it's owner.  The owner did not want to talk to Fox 41.

"The dog has been out on numerous occasions, and there are people who don't even like walking past her house, because of the dog.  Basically the dog needs to be off this block," said Michelle Zink, Brianna's mother.

The Zink's have to get 15 to 20 statements from people in the neighborhood, who will say there have been problems in the past, with this dog.

"If he's attacked them or attempted to attack them, they can go ahead and have him put down and I'm hoping we can get that done, one way or another we will get that done," said Michelle.

The Zink's say they've already been in contact with animal services, and the County Attorney's Office.
