Dare to Care receives help after assisting others following the windstorm

It's where 28,000 people turned to get food during the power outages.  Now Dare to Care is getting some help of its own.

The agency received a $155,000 check Monday, made possible by donations from seven local companies and foundations.

Dare to Care and the Community Action Partnership set up six mobile food banks to help those without electricity.  Linda Miller of the Dare to Care food bank says, "We are so fortunate that we have so many caring people in our community that care about those who are with and without in our community -- from the community and our corporate partners."

Dare to Care says the donations will help shore up its budget and restock its warehouse.
