Dr. Jasmine Farrier Asesses the Vice-Presidential Debate

The highly anticipated vice presidential debate is over and people around the country are mulling over the candidates' performances.

Gov. Sarah Palin and Sen. Joe Biden debated for about 90 minutes in St. Louis.

University of Louisville political science professor Jasmine Farrier explains the impact their performances could have on the presidential election.

Early polls suggest Joe Biden pulled ahead.

One poll of uncommitted voters who watched the debate shows 46 percent thought Joe Biden won, with 21 percent siding with Sarah Palin.

A CNN poll found respondents judging Biden the winner by a 51 percent to 39 percent margin.

Still, network analysts say Palin stood strong.

Most analysts agree that the debate won't be much of a game changer for either campaign.
