LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The weekend is upon us, and there are plenty of things to do and see across Kentuckiana.

Here are a selection of events, markets, concerts and more happening the weekend of Friday, Nov 14 to Sunday, Nov. 16.

North American Livestock Show

The largest all-breed, purebred livestock exposition in the world has taken over the Kentucky Exposition Center.

Tens of thousands of entries from across the country descend on Louisville Nov. 6-20 to compete at the North American International Livestock Exposition (NAILE).

The expo features many major divisions of livestock competition including dairy cattle, beef cattle, dairy goat, meat goat, swine, sheep, llama, alpaca, mule and draft horse.

NAILE offers a variety of experiences including: the North American Country Store and the North American Championship Rodeo.

The North American Championship Rodeo also rides into Freedom Hall Nov. 13-15 for the Great Lakes Circuit Rodeo finals.

The rodeo is held during the North American International Livestock Exposition, with the top cowboys and cowgirls in each event competing for cash prizes.

During the North American Championship Rodeo, competitors from all over the Midwest will compete in a number of events, including: Bareback, Bull Riding, Saddle Bronc, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping, Tie-Down Roping and Women’s Barrel Racing.

Tickets start at $16.90.

Colgate Clock Illumination

A towering symbol of Clarksville’s history will light up once more this weekend as the town celebrates the relighting of the Colgate Clock, one of the largest clocks in the world.

The event, scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 15, marks a new chapter for the 101-year-old landmark, which has been a fixture of the Clarksville skyline since 1924.

The famous clock was built in 1906 and was moved from Jersey City to Clarksville for the opening of the Colgate-Palmolive plant. When the Colgate plant closed in 2008, the clock stayed.

It worked intermittently after that, then stopped working altogether. But the clock’s hands began ticking again in June 2023, following restoration efforts. Now, the town is preparing to celebrate its full illumination.

A public relighting ceremony will take place at the base of the clock Saturday. The event also marks a new partnership with Clarks Landing and is part of broader revitalization efforts aimed at honoring Clarksville’s rich heritage.

The celebration will include community festivities and reflections on the clock’s legacy — a legacy that continues to tick forward.

Turkey Drive at Olympus Gaming Lounge

Louisville's only full-scale esports and video gaming hub is hosting their first-ever Turkey Drive this weekend ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.

Olympus opened in May in south Louisville, creating events to bring together gamers and families. They quickly began getting involved in the community shortly after opening.

The space features high-end PCs, consoles, tournaments, events, and youth programs designed to empower the next generation through technology, gaming, and creativity.

Now, Olympus is joining forces with Chet and Family Food Reviews for a turkey giveaway event.

They are bringing together 15+ local food vendors, 50 sponsors and over 200 free turkeys for the community.

Vendors will be serving incredible bites, and families can pick up a turkey while supplies last.

It’s all about giving back, sharing good food, and celebrating the season together.

Olympus is located at 4741 Rockford Plaza. Festivities kick off at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15.
