LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Hundreds of deserving children had an early start to Christmas this year, all with the help of Kosair Charities.
More than 400 children and their families gathered at the Crowne Plaza in Louisville for the annual holiday party. It's a place where kids, who are experiencing health issues or going through treatment, can just be kids.
They spent the afternoon playing games, making holiday crafts, and getting some early gifts from Santa. Organizers and volunteers say it's an event that's emotional for everyone.
"So many times these kids have so many obstacles in their life, but we work everyday to show them their potential," Kosair Charities President Keith Inman said.
