LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Halloween can mean lots of spooky fun for children, but the holiday can also be dangerous.
Now KentuckyOne Health is offering tips on how to keep your children safe.
Parents are encouraged to read all labels before letting a child with food allergies eat anything.
Adults should also examine the candy for anything harmful and make sure the pieces are wrapped and sealed.
Parents can place reflective tape on your children's costumes to make it easier for drivers to see them, and have them hold flashlights or hold or wear glow sticks.
Experts also say children under the age of 12 should have an adult with them when trick-or-treating.
