LOUISVILLE, Ky (WDRB) -- The northbound lanes of Interstate 71 near I-264 have reopened, several hours after a semi carrying lumber flipped early Thursday.

The crash happened around 5:30 a.m. It took crews about eight hours to reopen both lanes, which opened just before 1:30 p.m. The left lane was reopened just before 8 a.m.

The driver of the semi was hurt, but is expected to recover, according to a MetroSafe supervisor.
