Indiana alcohol ID law could change

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville lawmaker wants to remove the alcohol ban on the water.

State Senator Perry Clark of Louisville says he will file the 'beer on a boat' bill because people are already enjoying beer and cocktails on the state's waterways and the ban has become a running joke.

This bill would allow consumption of alcohol on lakes, streams and rivers by striking the public intoxication statute.

Clark says this measure would support tourism and recreational efforts across the state.
