LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Angel's Envy has announced plans to expand its distillery on Main Street in downtown Louisville.

The company — which has operated a distillery and guest experience across from Louisville Slugger Field for 10 years — purchased the parking lot across the street at the corner of Jackson and Main streets.

Angel's Envy said it will explore options as to what will be built on the property.

"Angel's Envy has grown significantly over the past several years, and the team is excited to accelerate that growth in 2024 and beyond, while continuing to keep our guests at the heart of everything we do," a company spokesman said in a written statement Tuesday. "As part of this effort, we have purchased the parking lot on the corner of Jackson St. and Main St. – which is located across the street from our distillery in downtown Louisville – and will be exploring expansion opportunities on the property. This is in addition to our current investment in Henry County. We've completed several warehouses on our Henry County property to date, and we are looking forward to building, strengthening long-term relationships, and driving local impact in both Henry County and downtown Louisville."

Last year, Angel's Envy unveiled an $8.2 million expansion to its downtown Louisville facility, adding 13,000 square feet to the building at 500 East Main Street and more than doubling the expected annual guest capacity to more than 100,000 guests per year.

The expansion also included the addition of a new retail area, five tasting rooms, a new bar, event space and catering kitchen.
