LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Most bourbon is made in the Bluegrass, and now one lawmaker wants to name it the official "state spirit" of Kentucky.
State Rep. Jim Glenn, of the Owensboro area, filed a bill that would do just that.
Many believe bourbon was first made in Kentucky in the late 18th century. There are 68 distilleries in operation across the state.
The bourbon bill was filed with the Kentucky General Assembly for next year.
